European & Luxury Vehicle Repair

BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Volvo, Mini, and other luxury vehicles.

European and luxury vehicles are engineered with tighter specifications and more electronics than many mainstream cars. They often call for specific oil approvals, coolant types, and brake fluid, and many service tasks require the vehicle’s computer to be told that the work was done.

Common symptoms

  • Oil leaks or a burning smell from the engine bay
  • Coolant warnings or loss of coolant
  • Misfires or rough running under acceleration
  • Service reminders or warning messages on the display
  • Electronic parking brake or brake wear warnings

Common needs include oil leaks from valve cover and oil filter housing gaskets, cooling system parts like water pumps and plastic coolant fittings, ignition coils, carbon buildup on direct-injection engines, and electronic parking brakes that must be retracted with a scan tool before rear brake work.

Some repairs on these vehicles require factory-level programming or coding. Before scheduling, we will let you know whether a specific job is something we can handle properly, so you are not left waiting on a car we cannot finish.

Every appointment is confirmed with a $100 booking/diagnostic payment (not credited toward repairs). If the cause isn’t known yet, the visit is used to diagnose it; the repair is quoted for your approval.

Repair labor is $100 per hour for every kind of repair — engine, transmission, electrical, heating and air conditioning, suspension, brakes and everything else. No higher specialty rate and no minimum labor charge. Labor hours are estimated for your specific vehicle and repair and shown on your written estimate before any work starts; we don’t sell flat-rate job prices.

Questions

Is there a diagnostic fee?

Routine maintenance and clearly identified repairs are quoted without a separate diagnostic step. When a warning or symptom must be diagnosed, diagnostic services involve a $100 diagnostic fee, which is not credited toward the cost of subsequent repairs.

Can you do my BMW or Mercedes maintenance?

In most cases, yes. We use oils and fluids that meet the manufacturer’s approvals and reset the service indicators where possible.

Are there jobs you will refer elsewhere?

Yes. Some module replacements and software updates require factory programming. We will tell you before scheduling if your repair falls into that category.
