Automotive Electrical Diagnosis & Repair
Dead circuits, battery drains, and flickering lights traced wire by wire.
Modern vehicles have dozens of control modules talking over shared networks, plus hundreds of wires, connectors, and grounds. One corroded ground or chafed wire can cause symptoms that seem unrelated, like a gauge that dies when a turn signal is on.
$100 diagnostic
- Confirming the complaint and when it occurs
- Checking battery
- Scanning modules for communication and fault codes
- Using wiring diagrams to trace circuits
Common symptoms
- Battery goes dead after sitting overnight or a few days
- Power windows, locks, or mirrors stop working
- Lights flicker, dim, or stay on
- Fuses blow repeatedly
- Gauges or the dashboard act erratically
Electrical diagnosis is methodical work: confirm the complaint, check power and ground at the component, review wiring diagrams, and narrow down the fault. Parasitic drains, where something keeps drawing power after the car is off, are a common example that takes careful testing to pin down.
Winter road salt and moisture are tough on connectors, especially under the car and near the wheels. We look for corrosion and damage along the way and explain what we find before quoting the repair.
Every appointment is confirmed with a $100 booking/diagnostic payment when you book. It covers the diagnostic visit, is separate from repair costs and is not credited toward them. Repairs are quoted separately and done only with your approval.
Repair labor is $100 per hour for every kind of repair — engine, transmission, electrical, heating and air conditioning, suspension, brakes and everything else. No higher specialty rate and no minimum labor charge. Labor hours are estimated for your specific vehicle and repair and shown on your written estimate before any work starts; we don’t sell flat-rate job prices.

Questions
How does the diagnostic fee work for electrical problems?
Electrical diagnosis is a diagnostic service, which involves a $100 diagnostic fee. The fee is not credited toward the cost of subsequent repairs. Once we know the cause, the repair is quoted separately and you decide whether to proceed.
Why is electrical work hard to quote upfront?
The same symptom can come from a fuse, a connector, a wire buried in a harness, or a control module. We need to test before we can tell you what the repair involves.
Can aftermarket accessories cause problems?
Yes. Remote starters, alarms, and add-on lighting are a common source of drains and odd behavior, especially if they were installed without proper connections.
